Captain Lexi the Author

Lexi’s Books for Sale

For those of you who still enjoy reading and perhaps have enjoyed Lexi’s blogs and writing style, she has written books that you might also enjoy. You can find them on Amazon Kindle by searching by authors name…  Just search for me  “Alexis Right”    and you should find them.

Crazy Winds (book 1)

Is my first book written about my solo Kayak expedition around Lake Ontario Canada in 2013. The book is written to be very easy to read, fun and pleasant, it is a lovely way to spend a weekend in the hammock. My first exposure to sailing and sailboats, I get infected with the sailing bug and it takes off from here.

SAILING CRAZY WINDS (book 2)

The second book is about the beginning of my sailing adventure, essentially all the things in the season one videos that the camera cannot see or show you. Ever wonder why things went so badly? Sailing Crazy Winds is about relationships and failure, it is far more complex and philosophical in its scope. I discuss the complex ideas that affect all of us and why I was so easily suckered into the chaos.

DECONSTRUCTED by CRAZY WINDS

(book 3)

The third book is a brilliantly written book about horrible things. The true story of the deconstruction of my center as a human being, the loss of my identity as I got swallowed up in pluralistic deconstructionism and madness. I classified it under domestic abuse and the philosophy of morals and ethics. You probably should not read this book, its about horrible things, but if you do read it, it will fascinate you.

I hope that you the reader will enjoy following me down the rabbit hole into crazy town.

The Rise of Captain Lexi

(book 4)

The fourth book is bound to become the postmodern story of a generation. Although the book rises out of crazy times on the ocean as WildChild tries to sail home the book itself is inspiring. As with all my books the stories are entertaining and riveting page turners that spur you forward, the book is consuming and hard to put down. This book is unlike the others however, it seeks to both entertain you and inspire life changing epiphanies in you, this book will challenge you and change you. You will either LOVE it… or HATE it as this ride is gonna get wild. This is the story of coming out of crazy town and struggling to understand humanity.

Children’s Philosophy Series

It is very difficult to write a book easy enough for children to read and deep enough for adults to enjoy. There is important philosophy that is getting lost in the chaos of pop culture that we all need to know about.

I want children to understand why democracy and freedom are important. I want the adults to understand how to reclaim the freedoms being stolen from us all.

Grown ups really need to read these books too. I know you are busy and have very little time to read, so I made this brilliance easy for you to digest.

Sigma Wolf  is to philosophy as Shrek is to humour, a classic.

Life in the Rat Kingdom

We all want our children to have good morals and ethics but we are unsure exactly how to deliver them. This book gives you the starting ground, basic ideas of right and wrong, good and bad. More importantly this easy to read fun story will help your children why it is important to be good.

Interesting ideas

Captain Lexi is a philosopher always curious about the world…. here are her latest thoughts or words…

Cruising life involves a lot of sacrifice to gain a lot of freedom from being “under control”. You trade comfort freedoms for the freedom to be left alone from government interference.

I am unsure if there are angels overwatching me, but clearly the universe has blessed me with my new crew, miss Daisy is perfect for this boat at this time.

Good crew will listen, submit, follow orders, and take the helm even if they are vomiting.

I can train new crew how to sail, that’s the easy part. Being strong tough and brave is all on them, skills they must arrive with. On the ocean, don’t fail your team!

A Zen Story for you… Called…

The Moon Cannot be Stolen

Ryokan, a Zen master, lived the simplest kind of life in a little hut at the foot of a mountain. One evening a thief visited the hut only to discover there was nothing in it to steal.

Ryokan returned and caught him. “You may have come a long way to visit me,” he told the prowler, “and you should not come away empty handed. Please take my clothes as a gift.”

The thief was bewildered. He took the clothes and slunk away.

Ryokan sat naked, watching the moon. “Poor fellow,” he mused, “I wish I could give him this beautiful moon.”

People focus on the world of dust and miss what is truly important and valuable.

Jesus once wisely said “Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye?”

The meaning of this verse is fairly clear, it is an attack on the hypocrites who attack others for their small flaws while ignoring their own massive ones. Those who judge others, but do not evaluate themselves.

Focus on improving yourself, let God judge the rest.

Whats with the Name

When I originally bought the boat the name she came with was Ambush. She was a race boat and she would sneak up from behind in races to take the lead.

When I bought the yacht I wanted to rename her more in my image, and it was not to ambush anybody.

The name WildChild comes from a term I learned when working with special needs children.

Sometimes there are born people who are not easy to control. They are self directed. They do not conform well to the pressures of society. They are following their own path.  They just do not go along with the rules and programs other people have laid out for them. They make terrible slaves when they grow up. Society has a hard time controlling them.

I realized that this term being thrown around by other special needs workers about certain children was not actually a bad thing. It is actually a compliment. I realized that I am such a WildChild in my own spirit.

So it only makes sense to name the vessel that will carry me off into freedom after my own spirit… She is a WildChild.

Don’t expect us to follow the rules… not our thing. Do not try to control us… you might find it frustrating.
